Y3 Coal Mining Presentations

Class: Year 3 Year: 2017 - 2018

Year Three have demonstrated how home learning can impact on what we learn in school. The teachers took a back seat to let the children learn from each other today. Our children spoke with confidence and are developing a shared passion for our historical topic of: Coal Mining In Our Local Area. We discovered that there used to be a coal mining entrance in our school field!

Today has left our children with a thirst to discover more about our local coal mining heritage. Bring on our school trip to Astley Colliery on Monday!

Thank you for continuing our children’s learning journey at home. It is great to see our grown-ups take an equal interest in coal mining – it really ignites a passion for learning in our children.
