What a week!

This week has once again been full of amazing experiences - not least our musical extravaganza! Our children, once again, rose to the challenge of performing their musical talents in front of an appreciative audience. Singing club, recorder groups, guitar club and our Y3 guitar class all performed with skill and - more importantly - with a great smile on their face. Huge thanks as ever to Mrs Connolly and Mrs Wainwright for their musical talents and enthusiasm.

Reception also had a wonderful time at the Liverpool Philharmonic this week - immersing themselves in this wonderful cultural experience. They've enjoyed learning more about the story behind the music since returning to their classroom.

We welcomed Ofsted to school this week and await their report in the coming weeks.

Y2 enjoyed their strandline geography investigations at Formby and luckily had wonderful weather. They also brought some things back with them and have produced some wonderful sketches (and some wonderful smells) in Y2.

Sadly, we had to cancel our Sports Day due to the weather but -  Y5 did manage to successfully beat the competition at Cansfield in their Sport Competition - well done to Y5! Glad we had the chance to show off some sporting talent. Hopefully our Sports Day will go ahead on July 12th. Watch this space (and the clouds!).
