Every little helps
Last week our Y6 Junior Road Safety Officers (JRSO) were given the challenging task of trawling through applications from our Y5 children, eager to take up the mantle of also becoming a JRSO for the next two years. It is a big commitment. Our Y6 children said it was incredibly difficult because of the high standards of applications - however, we now have a further three children who have joined the team. Well done to our Y5 children and a special well done to the successful applicants.
Our JRSO team play a role in organising our Bike It Breakfast events. We had our very first of the year on Friday 27th September. We were delighted to see so many people join us. Each and every one of them doing their bit for the environment. We learnt in our assemblies about the benefits of cycling - not just for our environment, but also for our own mental and physical health. Cycling is a great activity all round!
As well as everyone doing their bit to support the Bike It Event, we are also incredibly grateful to the number of people in our community who have selected our school on the Asda Rewards App. Even simply downloading the app and selecting the school earns money for the school. Then, going one step further and scanning the app if you spend in Asda, the school benefits too! It costs nothing extra and noone loses out. The offer finishes at the end of November, so if you haven't - there is still chance to help. Remember, every little helps!
Thank you for your support,
Pamela Potter
