World Book Day
Every year we celebrate World Book Day.
Thursday 5th March saw the annual World Book Day being celebrated at Garswood. In 2015 the theme was chosen by the school council - David Walliam's book characters for the Juniors and Traditional Tales for the infants and Foundation Stage. The children's costumes were fantastic - there were Gangsta Grannies and Demon Dentists galore in KS2 and plenty of princesses, wolves and knights in Ks1 and Foundation. Have a look through some pictures below to see some of the amazing efforts that our children made.
In 2016 the Teaching and Learning Committee made the decision to widen the theme to one of fantasy. Again, everyone went all out in immersing themselves into the event and into the books - gearing up to join in with the summer reading challenge at the local library again this year.
