A Fabulous Week for Year 1

Class: Year 1 Year: 2020 - 2021

This week we have been so busy being mathematicians, historians, product testers, scientisits, artists and explorers. 

In science, the children went on a nature walk around school looking at the nature we have in our school grounds. There was so much!

As part of our history work we discovered how our school has changed over time. We didn't realise how much things change all of the time. Even our Garswood tree is part of history now. 

We have enjoyed singing maths songs this week to help us with our counting. Mrs Meehan was impressed with how well we could count forwards and backwards starting at different numbers. 

The highlight of our week was our DT lesson when we tested a range of healthy foods and gave our opinions on them. We came up with some amazing adjectives to describe the taste and texture of each food. It was fantastic to see so many children trying new foods and being able to say which part of the Eat Well Plate they came from.
