End of term 'Eggstravaganza'!
Thank you to everyone who joined in with the recent Easter competition. The bonnets and the egg creations adorned the corridors over the last week and brightened up the school. The infants all took part in an Easter bonnet parade and the junior entries ranged from the ‘Jaws’ and ‘Pokemon’ to ‘Britegg’s Got Talent’ and ‘Wrestlegg’! Check out the Twitter feed and you'll even see Y2 modelling their bonnets to music!
I was very honoured this year to see a ‘Mrs Pottegg’ this year in ‘Garsegg School’. It had hair just like mine too! I know I, alongwith the rest of the staff, was glad not to have to judge the competition. The School Council had the difficult decision of choosing their favourite. Congratulations to the winners, who all got awarded an Easter egg of their own to enjoy. Well done to everyone who entered!
We ended the last day with the final assembly of the term and it is always special: our celebration of citizens. Earlier this year, together with the children we chose our school aims – ‘Be kind, be ambitious, be respectful’ – every week we remind ourselves of how we can live out these aims. In our final assembly of the term, we consider children who are consistently role model citizens in our community. Congratulations to our chosen citizens this half term. Finally, congratulations to Sycamore House who were this half term winners of the House Cup! I will meet with them on the return to school to decide their chose treat. The House Captains gave a great speech, congratulating their peers on their incredible effort and superb achievement.
I wish you a restful and enjoyable Easter break and thank you for your continued support. See you on 19th April 2022!
