Harry Potter Book Night
It is such an amazing evening each year - Harry Potter Book Night at Garswood Primary School.
This year we continued on with the next book of the series and themed our evening on The Goblet of Fire. As Harry took part in the many challenges, we too replicated the activities. With a maze to explore in the playground - puzzles to solve along the way; an underwater experience - not quite as scary as the Black Lake; and the Quidditch World Cup on the car park - we were truly immersed in the book.
The night wouldn't be without Gauntlet Birds of Prey and their amazing owl display. It was such a treat this year to also welcome Aqualease to the school so the children could explore a real rockpool and hold the starfish and crabs alongside the owls and a ferret.
Honeydukes was as usual a popular stop off with Bertie Bott's beans and liqourice wands to name a few! However, dancing in the Yule Ball room; wand making; finding your Patronus and duelling club were also activities available for the children this evening.
What an amazing experience and such enormous thanks to the wonderful #teamGarswood - without whom these events would not be possible... an amazing staff.
