A Snowy Pancake Tuesday

Class: Reception Year: 2016 - 2017

The children were super excited to see the snow today. They had so much fun exploring outside and were encouraged to collect it for use in the texture kitchen. The children decided to mix it with sugar and were amazed at the different consistencies they could achieve with the brown sugar. They added rosemary and thyme and we wrote down the ingredients. Some children used the frying pans to create pancakes. Mrs Bagshaw was able to flip her pancake!

Later, having read 'Mr Wolf's Pancakes' by Jan Fearnley, some children chose to write book reviews whilst others wrote a shopping list for their own pancakes.
