Lesson: Learning Outside the Classroom

Class: Year 2 Year: 2016 - 2017

Y2 have really consolidated their learning today during a fun-packed trip to Liverpool.  Firstly their visit to Al-Rahma Mosque really enabled them to see first-hand how muslims pray and what their place of worship looks like.  They were also able to try on traditional muslim clothing and handle a variety of artefacts such as The Quran, prayer beads and wooden carved arabic sculptures.  After a much needed lunch break, they then enjoyed a walk around The Walker Art Gallery.  Here they compared different artists as well as comparing older traditional style paintings with modern art.
