African giant snails

Last week, Y2 were introduced to the book - ' The Snail and the Whale' and were really interested in finding out more about the animals in the story so we have been using the Ipads to research and record facts.  The children have also been learning about key features of an information text ready to write their own. Today Y2 were lucky enough to see and touch African giant snails brought in by a parent.  They were able to ask questions and see the snails close up which helped with their understanding.
