Dementia Cafe

Lesson: PSHE and citizenship

Class: Year 5 Year: 2018 - 2019

Year 5 Pupils recently visited the local 'Dementia cafe'. 

Supporitng our local community is at the heart of all that we do at Garswood and the opportunity to pop along and chat to people who have been affected by dementia in a relaxed, social environment has been extremely rewarding. The children took part in craft activites as well as playing games with some of the adults there. 

Well done to all of those who attended - you were wonderful ambassadors for the school and the response from those you visited has been heart warming.
