Forest School Session 1

Lesson: Learning Outside the Classroom

Class: Year 1 Year: 2023 - 2024

Today, Year 1 started their Forest School sessions. The children showed all our school values of being kind, being respectful and being ambtious. They all followed our Forest School rules so well and made sure that everyone was safe and happy.

Our first session was based around the story of 'Stick Man' by Julia Donaldson. The children were set the challenge of finding a stick and using it in their play. The children were fantastic at finding different ways to use the stick just like in the story. We had magic wands, snowflakes, phot frames, stick people, straws, smoothie makers and spoons.

We saw children working together, playing and co-operating together as well as ensuring that everyone was involved.
