Fruit Kebabs

Lesson: Design and technology

Class: Year 1 Year: 2023 - 2024

Today, we used our designs to prepare our healthy fruit kebabs in Y1.

 

First, we learnt about food hygiene and safety. We learnt:

  • to prepare the surfaces by cleaning them.
  • to check the equipment was clean and safe to use.
  • to check the use by dates on foods.
  • to wash our hand thoroughly and tie hair back.

We used different knives and cutting techniques depending on the texture of the food we were cutting. Some fruits were soft and some were hard. 

We then tasted and evaluated our products.
