Y2 have enjoyed reading 'Handa's surprise' by Eileen Browne. In the book, Handa picks some exotic fruits such as guava, passion fruit, avocado, mango and pineapple. The children worked together to make a fruit salad using these fruits and wrote their own 'fruit salad' instructions using exciting verbs and adverbs. For afternoon snack time, Y2 selected the fruits they wanted to try and made their own fruit kebabs.
