Investigating 3D shapes.

Class: Year 3 Year: 2015 - 2016

Year 3 were looking at shapes in maths today. We looked at the properites that you find in 3D shapes by building our own and counting the vertices, faces and edges. We also set ourselves a challenge to work out which 3D shape could be identified from clues e.g. if I have got a circular face which shape could I be? The children gave fantastic answers and really thought about the different features that you see when you turn 3D shapes around.
