Kindness flags

Class: Year 2 Year: 2018 - 2019

Y2 spent time discussing Garswood values and how important it is to be kind.  We looked at images of Tibetan prayer flags and compared these with our idea of making Garswood kindness flags.  The children created their design in their creative journals and then transferred this on to the material.  They chose an element of their flag to stitch and were encouraged to select their cotton, thread the needle and tie the knot independently before following the line using a tack stitch.
