Year 4 have had an afternoon with Paul Delaney, a published author. They talked about different types of poetry, enjoyed listening to some of the poet’s published work and had the opportunity to read and write some of their own poetry. After listening to some of their peers’ work, they had the time to edit and further improve their writing.

At the end of the session, one child from Y4 and Y4/5 were chosen to represent their school at St Helens Poetry Festival on Monday 4th July.
