Pumpkin Soup

After reading Pumpkin Soup by Helen Cooper, Y2 decided to make their own.  They listened very carefully to the verbs used in the book and followed the instructions well to make the soup.  They sliced the pumpkin; stirred the soup carefully and sprinkled the salt at the end.  The children were very careful whilst using the sharp knives and really enjoyed  scooping the pumpkin flesh out with their hands.  They all tasted the soup at the end and had mixed opinions about the taste.
