Saving the oceans

Lesson: PSHE and citizenship

Class: Year 2 Year: 2018 - 2019

Y2 are really enjoying their geography topic about coasts and have learnt all about oceans and the physical features of coasts.  During their learning they discovered the problems associated with plastic pollution in our seas and oceans and decided they would like to do something to help.  They decided to produce posters to put up around school to encourage children to use re-usable water bottles rather than single-use plastic bottles.  They also decided to write a letter to the local council to request plastic recycling containers.  They have planned a sponsored litter pick next week to help to raise money for their chosen charity 'Plastic Oceans'.
