Lesson: PSHE and citizenship

Class: Year 2 Year: 2018 - 2019

Y2 have really enjoyed their learning about coastlines and the oceans but have been concerned about the plastic pollution that is apparent in our environment.  As such, they decided to help the charity 'Plastic Oceans' by organising a sponsored litter pick around our school grounds.  We carried this out this morning and were amazed by the amount of plastic litter around our field and playground. The children all worked hard to ensure all the litter was collected and that our envionment was free from plastic pollution.  The monies from the sponsorship will be collated, counted  and sent off to Plastic Oceans.
