St Helens KS1 Poetry Festival

We were excited to welcome Paul Delaney to Garswood this half term for the St Helens Key Stage One Poetry Festival. The children enjoyed meeting and listening to poems by Paul. They enjoyed the interactive performance poetry in assembly before being inspired to write their own poems during workshops throughout the day.

We then hosted the evening event at Garswood Primary School and were delighted to welcome children, families and teachers from different schools throughout St Helens. Paul Delaney performed on the night before the children took to the stage to perform the poems they had written. We were super proud of them all.
