St Helens Open Art Competition

Lesson: Art and design

The whole school, nursery right through to Year 6, have all created a piece of art to celebrate this year’s St Helens Youth Open Art Competition. This competition will showcase the talents of our children as well as young artists aged up to and including 16 years of age who live or study in St Helens.

Here at Garswood, we are proud to work closely with ‘Cultured’ (St Helens Local Cultural Education Partnership) and The World of Glass, to submit some of our young artists’ original artwork for exhibition and to be in with the chance to win a prize. Our children have been inspired by numerous artist and developed skills across all mediums including: drawing, painting, printmaking and mixed media.

Our teachers have deliberated hard to choose five pieces of artwork from each class to enter the competition. Good luck to all our talented finalists!
