Trip to Haigh Hall

Lesson: Science

Class: Year 1 Year: 2024 - 2025

This week, Year 1 visited Haigh Hall as part of our Science work. We have been learning all about trees and plants and we have been looking for evergreen and deciduous trees. 

We read the story of Leaf Man by Lois Elhert and then made our very own leaf characters. After that, we went on a walk through the woodland and created our own journey sticks, collecting things as we went. 

We used leaf identification sheets to name the tree they came from. 

It was so much fun.
