What a week!

Class: Year 5 Year: 2017 - 2018

This week has been a busy one in Year 5. Lots of exciting learning opportunities and lots of collaborative work too. 

We have been learning about the 'Shang Dynasty' in history this half term  and this week we tasted some food from that era too. We discovered that the food they ate in those times was very boring and didnt have much flavour. 

In DT we are in the early stages of a 'Dragon's Den' project.

This week the children were split into groups to create mood boards displaying their inital ideas for a kitchen design for a famous person or character. What creative and inventive children we have in Year 5- definitely some designers and inventors of the future. Each group shared their mood boards and recieved feedback on their ideas from the 'dragons'.  Watch this space for the next part of the project. 

While the weather has been so nice the children were able to get out onto the field for PE this week and have started to get some athletics practice in with sports day on the horizon.

It has been another super week for Year 5. Can't wait for next week.
