Woodland Visit

Class: Year 1 Year: 2022 - 2023

This week, Year 1 visited a local woodland to continue their Science work all about plants and trees.

We made journey sticks from our walk, collecting a range of deciduous and evergreen tree leaves. We were able to identify a range of plants and trees using our identification sheets and say which were deciduous and which were evergreen.

Year 1 collected conkers and acorns too which we put in our curiosity box in class.

We also read the story 'The Leaf Man' by Lois Elhert and we made our very own leaf people and animals. 'Where the wind blows them only the wind knows.'
