Y1 Mini-Beast Hunt - A 'hive' of activity!

Perfect conditions to hunt mini-beasts in the very wet and blustery woodland today. Y1 persevered and demonstrated great team work to discover strange and new creatures. One child even said “Wow, that was a challenge, for a moment there I thought I wasn’t going to find any!” Y1 found and observed each creature with the upmost respect for the creepy crawly; putting it back in exactly the same habitat they found it in. Y1 learned how to use humane bug catchers and learned the art of observing to answer their own thoughtful learning questions.
