Year 1 Garden

Class: Year 1 Year: 2014 - 2015

Year 1 have finally set up a garden in our outdoor area. We are planning to plant different vegetables and plants to watch them grow and hopefully harvest our crops when they are ready. We have big planters that we have planted broad beans, onions and parsnips in. We have also planted some apple seeds in some seed trays which are starting to grow. We also have some herbs, sunflowers and chili plants inside where it is a bit warmer. We are hoping to continue to expand the variety of plants that we are growing as the year goes on. The lastest addition to our garden is a compost bin. We have been putting our food waste into it and when it is ready we will be able to use the compost to help our plants to grow.
