Class: Year 2 Year: 2023 - 2024
Today, Year 2 went out into the community to explore and research real-life playground equipment. Our design brief for this half term is: To build a strong and appealing playground equipment suitable for a child (age is your choice).
The children demonstrated great maturity when exploring the equipment and came back to school buzzing with design ideas related to product purpose, the user in mind and structural elements they will need to consider. They then eagerly developed prototypes and evaluated each other’s models relating back to the key design questions while suggesting adaptations for the age of the user.
