Year 2 Maths Parent Workshop

Lesson: Maths

Class: Year 2 Year: 2023 - 2024

It was great to see so many Year 2 children and their families attend our Year 2 Math Workshop. During the session the children and I showed our grownups:

1. How our Mastering Number sessions are organised and why these sessions are so important to develop our number sense and fluency.
2. All the topics we are taught in maths.
3. All the strategies we use in arithmetic.
4. How we apply these strategies for solving problems.
5. We gave our grownups helpful reminders on a handout so they can use this to help us with our homework.
6. Miss Jenkinson gave us cool ideas/online games to use at home to help us recall number facts and multiplications.

Most important of all we spent time together, talking about maths and having lots of fun while doing so!
